It's good for you to drink lots of water each day. Most doctors recommend 8 glasses a day. This is sometimes hard to do, especially if you (like me) don't like plain water. Of course the drink industry figured this out also and has come up with a variety of flavored waters!
Most of these drinks taste good, but they can get expensive. So - try making your own!
Start with fresh filtered water or buy bottled water. Then add some flavoring. Here's a few ideas:
- Add lemon, lime, cranberry or grape juice
- Add a small amount of peppermint extract for a refreshing taste.
- Add mint leaves and fresh cucumber slices (peel first)
- Add a little jello powder, Kool Aid or Crystal Light.
